Sarah Ezekiel

Through Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), we were lucky enough to meet Sarah Ezekiel. Sarah was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2000, at the age of 34. She studied art and history of art, but when she lost the use of her hands through MND, she believed that she would never create anything again. Today Sarah using ‘Tobii Eye Gaze’ technology to communicate, she has used her illness to inspire and pioneer technology to benefit others with limited movement. When we asked Sarah if she had any experiences she always wished she’d experienced, she replied that she always wanted to swim with dolphins. Using our connections in the VR entertainment industry, we were able to organise the experience for Sarah using real life VR content to give her an experience as close to reality as possible. Sarah’s reaction to this experience set us on our VR journey.
