Covid 19 Working

Flix have been carefully following Public Health England’s and the Government’s Covid-19 guidelines to ensure we are working safely during the ongoing pandemic.

For each project we undertake, we complete the following checklist before commencing work:

  • Flix have purchased Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test Devices to ensure all their staff test Covid-19 negative before commencing work with clients. (This is no extra cost to our clients)
  • Completing a Covid-19 risk assessment
  • Strict hygiene procedures – we regularly sanitise both our equipment and our hands.
  • We ask all our clients to wear masks at all times in addition to wearing masks ourselves.
  • We have adapted the way we work to ensure social distancing is adhered to at all times.
  • Increasing ventilation by ensuring windows and doors are open where possible.

Keeping everyone safe is at the heart of what we do so you can be reassured we are doing everything we can to keep everyone healthy during this time.

Goals and Process

Each scenario is designed to foster learning and encourage reflection on the actions of prison staff facing challenges. The aim was to empower staff and influence positive outcomes in the real world.

After insightful research and discussions with both inmates and officers, we suggested also incorporating scenarios based on the prisoner experience. This thoughtful approach has resulted in the additional development of VR training scenarios from a prisoner’s perspective, ensuring a holistic and effective training experience for their dedicated staff.

Immersing ourselves in the prison environment allowed us to gain a profound understanding of the work environment and the diverse situations and emotions encountered.
