Discharge From Hospice To Nursing Home

In this experience the viewer is in the role of the healthcare professional. This scenario features a patient and her son who are angry and distressed at the plan to discharge her to a nursing home. This scenario can be used to support learning and reflection on managing patient expectations, making and communicating difficult decisions, and ethical issues around resource allocation.
